Rescued this Sea Slater on a walk today. It reminded me of when I was a teenager in the late 70s and used an intertidal seaweed festooned WW2 pill box as a bird hide. These slaters would crawl all over my clunky Russian mirror lens. The lens & the pill box are long gone but the slaters persist.

My garden in Coastal Harwich in Essex is a Bloxworth Snout hot spot. Iβve probably got more records (21 records in 4 years) than anyone else in the County. This is my latest ever record and could have been disturbed from hibernation. I donβt know for sure why my garden is so good for this moth.
