i updated my copy of csp recently and the ability to rotate the pivot of the free transform gizmo is such a nice feature... no longer will you need to straighten out an angled object to distort it properly... sooooo nice. i recommend getting version 5.0 for this

i wonder if file objects are static or if theyd play their anim frames while inside of another canvas, like a symbol/motion clip in flash... i dont do animation in csp cuz i only got the pro ver

personal use case i can think of off the top of my head: a canvas that has separate comic page files linked on it to be able to see them collectively (i dont have ex). when i was working on an 11 page comic a decade ago (oh my god..) i was doing that manually to keep track of progress. for morale

oh nice, clip studio paint has photoshop-style smart objects / file references. (so you can link a .clip canvas inside of another .clip canvas and it automatically updates) its called "file object" btw.

i dont use smart objects frequently, but on the rare occasions i did it was very handy

(doing the sketch -> lineart -> color process wasn't that bad! im not usually organized like that)

"blueshift's the champ now. i hear she's been trying to hunt me down... i don't know why shes so mad. she won, didnt she?"

samson is sitting on a bench alone, hunched over, a shadow over his face. he looks grim. "i haven't been avoiding anyone. or anything. if i'm scarce around the isc title scene, well... thats just because ive moved on to better things." the next panel is samson standing at the corner of a wrestling ring, leaning on the post looking somewhat bored. in the foreground is a wrestler with a big grin. "i'm busy with the tag team circuit now. im working towards getting into this invitational tag team tournament..."

chip is looking back and offering his hand. narration: "the most annoying man alive has forced his way into becoming my tag team partner, but he's pretty skilled in the ring, so. i can work with this." the next panel is samson and chip having their arms raised in victory by a referee. theyre in the middle of a wrestling ring. wait scrap all this. i forgot photopea existed until my friend reminded me

pdf-xchange let me export an image as a pdf with what looks to be native quality AND it kept the size information so i guess that seems to be the best solution if you need to export an image as pdf and are too stubborn to use adobe products

i hate online converters on principle but: adobe's online thing adds a sprinkle of compression artifacts (horrible!!) and the ilovepdf converter EXTREMELY crunches the image even worse. a local-browser converter website i found kept quality but lost all size info, which defeats the entire purpose

recovered enough emotionally to investigate pdf creation for future print attempts. using print-to-pdf was a genius idea i saw in a comment but upon close examination i noticed that it compresses the image a bit, which isnt ideal when it comes to printing art. i want the max amount of quality

i didnt respect the humble pdf file format enough and the consequences... were devastating. im sorry pdf. i understand now. sigh..................... life goes on

I finished all the drawings JUST in time for work. I did it...!!! (let's not talk about the cost.) I'll have to split the color layers apart during lunch but it shouldn't be too bad since everything's more or less on its own layer.
