Banjo update! We had to beg, plead and cajole but we got him a spot on a van to Minnesota on the 8th via Ruff Start Rescue up in Princeton. That's not far from MSP if any followers are interested in this wonderful shepsky (we think) boy!

Drivers of white pick-ups in Texas are garbo, man. But it was honestly so funny. Was I driving carefully because I had a new vaccinated foster dog that is not used to riding in cars in the backseat? Probably, though I'm pretty sure the speed limit was like 40 anyway.

Genuinely confused (and amused) I asked 'for what?' to which he bellowed "FOR DRIVING SLOW YOU STUPID BITCH" and @mellifluosity.bsky.social let out the best belly laugh as this boomer boi drove off extremely angry about an extremely minor inconvenience.

My recent white pick-up story - the other day me and @mellifluosity.bsky.social were driving Banjo home after getting him vaccinated and a lifted white boi pulled up beside us and rolled down his window and yelled out "YOU DUMBASS".... 👇

It's always the white pick-ups, man.

If you know someone who works with a rescue, please ask them if they transport dogs from out of state. And if they do, please reach out!

Took him to our vet yesterday and they treated him for worms and ear infections in both ears, but he otherwise seems healthy. Trying to find an out of state rescue that will transport him - there are too many abandoned dogs in Texas and adopting out is really slow work here.

Well we found another stray doggie! He followed @mellifluosity.bsky.social and Buddy home from a walk the other night. No collar, no microchip. Posted him up and no one claimed him. He's very sweet but has clearly been out on the streets for a while. We're calling him Banjo.

So, so stoked for this!!

But I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to move forward in a way that stresses my brain less. And that means a lot of fundamental changes that reflect my values and what I'd like to see more of. So thanks a million for even paying attention.

It's still a work in progress (lots of medication changes, monitoring, and the chronic nightmare disorder makes many waking hours way harder than they should be) but I can't really change the fact that I'm a stupidly sensitive and at times quite reactionary person - to my and tridroid's detriment.

Since then, I've been extremely lucky to be able work extensively on my mental health (ask me about transcranial magnetic stimulation, EMDR, and treatment-resistant depression!) and understand why just sitting down at my desk gave me anxiety attacks.

So I haven't actually released anything since 2022 and it's not unusual to get a few orders anyway now and then, but lately the flow has increased a bit which is nice! Whatever pocket of the internet is talking about me or the excellent projects I've gotten to work with - thank you!!!
