She looks at the popularity of epoxy resin and concerns about its safe use in modelmaking and art.

Epoxy resin is often used in modelmaking, like in this pacemaker model (AIBDC: 008433).

This week’s blog spotlights the playful genius of Libuše Niklová — the Czech designer who created the iconic squeaky Tomcat in 1963.

This week's blog post discuss the four targets the UK Plastics Pact aimed to reach by 2025, including the effort to eliminate 14 problem plastics such as disposable cutlery (there are many reusable options like the set pictured AIBDC : 007773), and the progress made towards these goals since 2018.

This is the third instalment of the spotlight exhibitions which highlights 11 unique plastic designers and their creations.

The exhibition will open to the public on January 10th and close on July 4th, 2025.
