That so many in our public life, in our 'liberal' media, have just memory-holed 10 years of nonstop incitement and abuse from him is shameful.

A gundamentalist (someone who pushes the view that gun deaths are the cost of freedom and thus "worth it") dying by gunfire is akin to an anti-science anti-vaxxer dying of a preventable illness. The only difference is the former has more blood on their hands than their own.

Gun violence is out of control. The victims of gun violence are Republicans, Democrats, independents, and kids, who have no political affiliation whatsoever.

We need to tone down the incendiary political rhetoric, for sure, but we also need to do something about guns.
