Who cares what WaPo says anymore, unfortunately

I am tired of trying to solve people’s ignorance. Yes, it’s because of their stupidity that we’re here. And I’m not interested in empathizing anymore.
We’ve been doing that 8 years. Why is there never no effort to try to see it the other way?

Yeah holding Democrats to any kind of standard and Republicans to none just doesn’t cut it anymore. No one listened for the past year as we all lamented the loss of democracy so why should we try to be the good guys anymore?

What are we supposed to do, those of us not in a position to do anything meaningful about it? I’m serious. I have no idea.

Twitter is full of trash. No one needs to broaden horizons with trolls, bots, and MAGA. We already know all that.

This adorable fluffy owl appears in at least two versions of Kitagawa Utamaro’s “Myriad Birds...” owned by the Asian Art Department at The Met.

Each of the double-page illustrations of this book depicts two avian species accompanied by a pair of playful love poems written in the “voice” of the respective bird. The poems are kyōka (literally, “mad verse”), or playful light verse written in five lines of 5-7-5-7-7 syllables respectively.
