I lived this sort of childhood. In many ways, looking back, it was wonderful. But, underneath, not much different than today. So much of life was kept secret. Family privacy. Disbelief. Divorce, physical abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence. I was abused twice by friend's parents. I never told.

The police are there to do what they always do during any protest. They are to keep the peace and arrest people that break the law.

If the protesters are doing something illegal, it is the job of the police to arrest them, just like at any other protest.

Reading the comments and time after time I'm seeing "Do something! Call in the guard to go against ICE! Use the Police to fight ICE!" Of course, then Trump will have the right to declare martial law and send in the military. But, oh well.

Several years ago, I was informed that my youngest granddaughter wanted one of these. I researched, nearly had a heart attack, scraped the dollars together and purchased one. I found out later that her more affluent best friend had one. By the following Christmas, it was no longer loved.
