White men file workplace discrimination claims but are less likely to face inequity than other groups Research shows that white men who file discrimination charges experience employer retaliation at similar rates as other racial groups.

The EEOC is encouraging white men to file race and sex discrimination complaints. We know a little about this already so I wrote this with Steve Boutcher.

Note that this in itself is a well-replicated finding. At least a dozen studies show that when researchers replicate qualitative research, or re-analyze it, they come to basically identical themes. There is nothing special about qualitative research with respect to replicability.

Brilliant article just out in PLOSOne: The overlap of gender and ethnicity/SES in school classes has large effects on friendship segregation.
The authors develop an easy fix:
Class placement minimizing gender consolidation decreases segregation by 4–7 percentage points.
