There is nothing in any of the statements that Platner has given in town halls, interviews, or other campaign events to suggest that he’s a bigot either, though he did write some bad stuff about Black people and women on the internet a few years ago. (For what it’s worth, he also said white rural voters were stupid and racist.) When those posts were unearthed, Platner apologized, citing his PTSD and political and cultural ignorance. Still, it’s hard to think of any recent Democratic campaign that could survive having to make so many disclosures.
so he wasn't a bigot during professional appearances yet when he wasn't seeking more power, he said bigoted things. somehow I'm supposed to trust him????

there's a lot of reason to doubt him!
1. the Nazi tattoo!
2. keeping the Nazi tattoo!
3. lying about the Nazi tattoo!
4. only covering up the Nazi tattoo after backlash!
5. he's written racist and misogynist things on the Internet!
6. HE'S SEEKING MORE POWER & HAS EVERY INCENTIVE TO LIE

N.Y.C. Officials Reinstate Pride Flag at Stonewall After Federal Removal
This is the way. When they come at us, we come back at them twofold. Raise that Pride flag every time they take it down. If they prevent that, surround the park with Pride flags. Ruin their petty little lives until they shit rainbows. Never stop. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/12/n...

Folks are trying to do billionaire marches and “sensible centrism” like America didn’t have a whole radical hollowing out.
They think it’s more important to make sure Black people don’t get back any financial gains and trans girls can’t play sports than … oh FIXING DATA SECURITY

Part of why we were so excited about these is that he designed them to print on their sides, so you can pack 100 onto the A1 mini plate easily! I did my first 100 whistle test run and omg I LOVE THEM NOW THE RAINBOWS GO ACROSS THEM???
(teeth grooves added by suggestion of folks using them!)

Man... I was excited about the possibility of future wide EB vaccination before all of the last year. Good evidence it's one of the primary triggers of MS. Too late on my account but it was a nice comfort hoping to be one of the last generations to get it in big numbers. They rob us of everything.

75% of my students are future health professionals. Do you really want a physician or nurse or pharm. who has no critical reading/thinking skills, who cannot communicate worth a damn or knows enough to ask questions/problem-solve when something feels off? Would you put your life in the hands of AI?

Chadwick Boseman and James van der Beek both died in their 40s of an illness that's treatable if a colonoscopy catches it but almost no insurer covers them for people under 45, this is what Engels meant by "social murder"

Being famous seems like a nightmare.
Being famous at a young age seems especially hellish.
I'm so grateful I came of age before smart phones & social media because the shit I did when I was young (and nerdy AF) could absolutely be held against me.
I *cringe* at some of the shit I recall saying

… and then what???
What happens to all the detainees of each background once they’ve been… sorted according to “perceived” immigration status?*
Mind you, the first 1/2 of the story @chrislhayes.bsky.social is quote skeeting is horrific enough, even before they sorted anyone.

True how, though?
It could be "true" that AI is "replacing" workers if you mean corporate overlords and administrators are firing people and putting AI in their place. That is a form of "replacement."
It could be false if you mean "AI can do the job of a given human," which it largely cannot.

Notice how the popular media narrative has moved on, while people on the ground in Minneapolis are still struggling and crying out that things are as bad as ever. This is how fascist regimes operate — overreach, recalibration, normalization. Get louder, not quieter.
