Im strangely optimistic at the moment. Something about the improvements we've seen in creativity in the last 3 games has me believing we'll be ok against anyone in the bottom half.

Get why theres so much anti BA in the fanbase anD work rate alone doesn't cut it at this level but hes integral to our press in the same way Bamford was.

He just doesn't offer the same link up and hold up as DCL so can't see him getting a start but no doubt he tends to convert his chances... been surprised how little hes been used from the bench but feels like hes only in the 'throw the kitchen sink' plan at the moment

Yeah hes been superb, ran out of characters and feel like hes been class from the first minute of the season, the others are now really starting to settle in too

Important run of fixtures now, this is where our season takes shape. I'd hope there's 10 points in there which would get us to nearly half what we need after less than a 3rd of the season gone #lufc

DCL is a goal or two away from being a class signing, his hold up, flick ons etc give us something we've been missing.

Okafor starting to show what he has, Stach and Longstaff great additions.

For Farkes system to work we need intensity, not Bielsa levels of chaos, but it relies on shifting the opposition round - last night was just pedestrian. Maybe lack of crowd / new players just not gelling?

To be honest I love this new approach.
'Sky sports is fucking shit' chants has done little to get them to stop milking us for viewing figures but this.... well this is strategic genius. Can't see them wanting us on too much with this performance :)

Played decent sides in preseason and maybe thought we were more comfortable on the ball than is the reality in a competitive game.

He needs to recognise that playing out from the back under that sort of press is a level above us right now.

What to make of that!

Hopefully its an early wake up call - we are going to need a way to play against teams who are technically better and way fitter.

We need 2 systems with dif set of players for games against the top 6-8 vs the rest.

We can clearly compete, just not with that.
