I always struggle a little to explain my students why Marxists are right about freedom in the capitalist state. Jeff Bezos does it so much better.

We have to believe that they think they are saving the country. The only serious way to combat them - in a way that persuades millions of people rather than just makes us feel better - is to identify the normative core of what they think they are doing. People vote for what they think is right.
