Since the horses are/were owned by people, they ask for permission.

Some aren't cool with their horses getting turned into anime characters.

If they don't get permission, they invent a new Uma to step in and take the role.

I mean if you really want to watch it "just for her", then go for it. She's also in 47 more episodes of ZZ.

Watched Summer in Andalusia. There just aren't a lot of anime like it.
