The reflective nature of the job itself can contribute to the feeling. I often felt it in the midst of grading papers/essays making the process torturous at times. Happens sometimes when I am mentoring new teachers. No answer as to why it happens to me, but I have to work hard to shake it off.

Republicans have the House, Senate, and White House.

They will fully own any shutdown.

Now think about what it’s doing to our children that some teachers are relying on it to develop lesson plans that no one is fact- or bias-checking.

How East Cleveland schools achieved 3-star rating after years of low tests, state takeover East Cleveland is among a handful of districts in Northeast Ohio that saw gains on the district report cards.

There are no silver bullets in education. What worked here was a portfolio of actions, esp 1) greater human attention to human needs incl increased human tutoring and 2) reliance on strategies based on substantial research.

Meanwhile, districts around the country are redirecting resources to AI.

Republicans just tanked a commonsense proposal to keep the government open AND prevent your premiums from skyrocketing.

They’re clearly on the record now: they’d rather shut down the entire government than keep health care affordable for millions.

We are not in 1933 Germany. We are in 1947 USA

It took about 10 years to get out of maybe a little longer and it happened without a war.

This is McCarthyism, if you didn’t learn about it in school, now is a great time to brush up.
