Ah OK that makes more sense. It sounded to me (and judging by the reaction of others, to them too) as if you were suggesting that a cis woman experiencing anti-trans discrimination (another tragic consequences of said law) was trivial.

And that was my point about choice. You have the freedom to consider this a sidebar. For the OP this is an imposed reality not a choice.

Every day another example of why it was so we as Unitarians at the weekend voted to stand with our siblings in the UUA against the abominations of the Trump Administration. It's not enough. Please stand against hate rhetoric in politics in the UK too, because words open the door to actions.

Mohsen Mahdawi of White River Junction, Vermont was illegally detained by ICE during what was supposed to be the final step in his citizenship process.

Mr. Mahdawi, a legal resident of the US, must be afforded due process under the law and immediately released from detention.
