02.02.2026 11:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Show just starting on untidyradio.com! Tune in! First up: Train Not Stopping by Harper Lee - a post-Sarah song as beautiful as anything released between 1987 and 1995.
"This is the last stop,
the emptiest platform
The final walk home
in a rainstorm"
Quite a few more Sarah-related tracks to follow!
Chris Hemsworth has just said on Graham Norton that he has seen Wedding Crashers "more than a hundred" times. I suspect the real number is no more than 16.
30.01.2026 22:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have to say I'm absolutely blown away by the response to this from people I massively respect, including @gshawisme.bsky.social @steve69.bsky.social @precrecs.bsky.social @wallytbm.bsky.social
Thanks @assistant.bandcamp.com for indulging my music journo fantasies!

"Sad escapism"... love that. Applies to music too.
Wow, hadn't seen this, thanks!
30.01.2026 08:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Keris actually sent me the Hal EP... great stuff too, and such a nice guy. Would love to interview him.

28.01.2026 19:25 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0@soniccathedral.bsky.social Hi Nat, starting to plan my London Chapterhouse trip (already with a spare ticket due to my second born preferring a trip to Crete)... do you know yet whether it will be a normal kind of 11pm curfew?

Of course, on waking, my first thought is "I suppose I could have just got ChatGPT to do it".
The task my dreamworld just gave me: write a 2000 word essay, and record the audio version, on the question 'What is Psychology?', in one hour, to placate a criminal gang who were most perturbed there was no such thing on our website. Actually quite impressed with what my sleeping mind produced...
26.01.2026 02:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You may be aware that I love little more than turning to a fellow movie go-er and stage whispering "The name of the film!!" at the appropriate point. Has there ever been one that afforded that opportunity more than 'No Other Choice'?

This encapsulates what I've been saying about AI, both in terms of how critical the 'hallucination' issue is, and Stewart Lee saying about attempts to rein in its use "it's gone, it's done".

I do love a time loop.
I keep looking at that photo of the elephant, and I think it's psychologically interesting that it's either one of the worst or the best photos ever taken, depending on how much credit you give him for a hidden meaning. Although to be fair, his own caption suggests it's just rubbish.
21.01.2026 19:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Filled a gap in my @weddingpresent.bsky.social Edsel reissue collection (you really don't want to see the rest!). If only I'd got them all at the time, I'd have the Hove Sessions EPs...
21.01.2026 18:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@dannykellywords.bsky.social Nerdy question: in the discussion over who popularised the term 'Britpop', names usually in the frame are Stuart Maconie, John Robb. But you used it in a review of @weddingpresent.bsky.social 'George Best' in '87. That's got to be a pretty early use, right?
21.01.2026 17:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Bought a video doorbell. If anything, it works *too* well. For some reason, it never occurred to me I'd get notifications every time *I* leave or arrive, or - more significantly - my son does.
18.01.2026 17:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh fair enough, I look quite the fool... I just assumed the series was unfolding in real time i.e. the outbreak was '98.
Still, bad about the vinyl.
...I was ready to pick them up on the presence of 'Guns, Germs and Steel', but it turns out that was published in '97. Fair dos.
