The task my dreamworld just gave me: write a 2000 word essay, and record the audio version, on the question 'What is Psychology?', in one hour, to placate a criminal gang who were most perturbed there was no such thing on our website. Actually quite impressed with what my sleeping mind produced...

You may be aware that I love little more than turning to a fellow movie go-er and stage whispering "The name of the film!!" at the appropriate point. Has there ever been one that afforded that opportunity more than 'No Other Choice'?

I do love a time loop.

I keep looking at that photo of the elephant, and I think it's psychologically interesting that it's either one of the worst or the best photos ever taken, depending on how much credit you give him for a hidden meaning. Although to be fair, his own caption suggests it's just rubbish.

@dannykellywords.bsky.social Nerdy question: in the discussion over who popularised the term 'Britpop', names usually in the frame are Stuart Maconie, John Robb. But you used it in a review of @weddingpresent.bsky.social 'George Best' in '87. That's got to be a pretty early use, right?

Bought a video doorbell. If anything, it works *too* well. For some reason, it never occurred to me I'd get notifications every time *I* leave or arrive, or - more significantly - my son does.

Oh fair enough, I look quite the fool... I just assumed the series was unfolding in real time i.e. the outbreak was '98.
Still, bad about the vinyl.

...I was ready to pick them up on the presence of 'Guns, Germs and Steel', but it turns out that was published in '97. Fair dos.
