Nothing big today, Just some sketches of Nem. Trying to narrow down the design a bit. I've avoided drawing mouths quite a lot because I'm really bad at them (And in Nem's case, I'm not really sure how to make their teeth look good)

Its fur darkens to shades of brown at the end of its extremities. It has its eyes closed and is smiling wide

A full body portrait of Vala. This is easily the most satisfied I have ever been with its proportions. Had a blast sketching it too. Lining and colouring, not so much, but I'm getting there.

Today's is Serperior. This took a lot of work to get looking nice. Something about its head shape throws me off.

Not very inspired today, sketched a bunch of stuff but nothing that stuck. I did colour this though. I'm not very good at keeping consistent with the face shape this iteration of Nem has yet so there will be growing pains.

Today's is Decidueye, I had a lot of fun doing the lighting and shading even though it didn't work out exactly how I wanted it to.

Decided on drawing Flygon today. It has such a simplistic design that I almost felt like picking it was cheating. To be honest I'm stalling a little bit until I work up the motivation for more complex drawings.

I kinda want to just start yapping into the void here, maybe I should start actually tagging my art posts so people can filter for them

Wanted something easier to draw today, so here's Luxray. I think this style works a lot better on pokemon that have simpler designs... Unfortunately for me a lot of my favourite pokemon come from Gen 5 onwards and are therefore, overdesigned somewhat.

Illustrated portrait of some kind of one of the artist's OCs - Vala -'s head. Vala is some kind of amalgamation between sheep and goat. With ong floppy ears and curved ram horns. Its fur is extremely light pink, bordering on white, its hair is bright pink, and its horns are vibrant magenta. The same magenta is used in markings on its ears, which in addition to having no internals at all, have spiral markings on both the inner and outer ear. it is wearing reflective sunglasses to hide her eyes.

Trying some new stuff with this one. This is Vala, one of my OCs, I'll likely be doing a lot of art of it. I think this is the first time in a long time that I've flipped the canvas at the end and thought it still looked really good.

A friend of mine was using a tool to analyze market research for his game. As a check he tested it on DELTARUNE. Seems like I have a lot of things to work on...

Today is the first time since I started posting this year that I've deleted something before even posting. Messed up the shading pretty badly early on and I couldn't salvage it by the time I realized it was a problem. Figured it would be easier to just restart from scratch. Will try again tomorrow.

Back on the Pokemon again this time with Scollipede. Gen 5 is my favourite generation, almost certainly because my first Pokemon game was Pkmn White. The bug horse is easily, no contest, my favourite early route bug type.

An illustrated flat colour image of The Knight from Deltarune Chapter 3 & 4. It has heavy chromatic aberration in lieu of lighting and shading. It is taking the pose it does after a slash from the sword slashes attack during the fight in Chapter 3.

Seems pointless to say given that I can't spoiler tag the image, but spoilers for #Deltarune, specifically chapter 3. I drew The Knight. I love its design so much, and I also love how it does nothing but aura farm when it's on screen. This is a recreation of a specific sprite, nothing fancy.

For those curious, here's the patterns I had designed for her from an extremely old ref sheet. If I continue drawing her I'll probably add some more to her face and chest.

I drew another OC today, though it has been a really long time since I've even thought about this one. She's a snow leopard, except when I designed her I didn't look at any real snow leopards for marking references lmao

Vent art for myself. There's something so compelling to me about grievous pain not being acknowledged at all by the subject.

Didn't make any 'new' art today, had too much going on. I just wanted a motivator to get back into doing art more regularly so daily posts were never the intention, I just happened to be motivated for a decent stretch there.

Another one, Charlequin from #Cassettebeasts, made this one a while ago, probably coming up on a year now. Still very happy with how it came out.

Fullbody of my 'sona, going to try to do a full refsheet for myself but I've had issues motivating myself to get through the whole thing historically.

...In retrospect I probably shouldn't have obscured their markings with clothes. Making even more work for myself I suppose...

The Spearmaster, from #Rainworld. I think I made them slightly too large. In game they are very skinny but my reference images were of other more standard scug sizes.

I like the way this style looks on Spearmaster themself, but my backgrounds still need a lot of work.

The more I look at this the more unsatisfied I am with the face. The point of me posting here is to give myself incentive to keep improving, so no matter how much I want to delete it, I won't. It can serve as a benchmark for how far I've come in the future.

I drew another Goodra today. Wanted to try my hand at its full body. I don't usually draw things with these proportions even though I like them, but that's just because I'm not used to drawing it. Only one way to improve!

I drew Scarleteeth from #cassettebeasts today. I completely did not notice that the cloth it wears forms its arms until looking at the sprite animations while drawing this, I just assumed it had no upper limbs the whole time...

Not that I think I've ever uploaded any art of Nem here, this is a slight redesign of them. Their fur and hair used to be cooler tones.

Wanted to do something messier today. I'm not the biggest Mimikyu fan, but I do thoroughly enjoy the concept of the real creature hiding behind a mascot that everyone already loves.
