And if history has taught us anything, pissing off farmers—as in, the ones responsible for food being on your plate—is a very, VERY bad idea. Every time.

Communists, fascists and other assorted shit authoritarians had to learn that one the hard way.

Besides, nobody hates a system more than someone who was exploited or betrayed by that system. We already hated Trump. They thought he would help them and he showed otherwise.

We want him gone, sure, but odds are some of these farmers might want his head on a pike.

Yes, I know that the soybean farmers in the US are getting screwed by the guy they voted for. Yes, some of them have ugly political beliefs. Yes, it's a "leopards ate my face" scenario.

But I can't see how the "reap what you sow" attitude towards them will solve anything. At all.

Not trying to justify the "Donnie does ChatGPT" joke, even for this more meek or naive version of him it still feels somewhat out of character in my eyes

Personally, I would've had Leo be the one doing it or something, prompting the others to groan in unison and make fun of him like usual

I wonder how many people who decry the Mutant Mayhem versions of the TMNT have seen how actual teenagers act

The entire point of the movie was to have them act like regular teenagers (down to their VAs), and that absolutely involves them saying or doing cringeworthy things

To be fair, Tales of the TMNT already had him fighting against an AI that grew beyond its programming, as well as creating Metalhead to combat it

The "Donnie likes ChatGPT" joke isn't an immediate turn-off but it still comes off as weird to me

I feel it's less "Donnie is stupid" and more "Donnie is having a crisis of faith because he's the guy who puts all his stock in technology and he has to grapple with how AI isn't as cool as he thought it'd be"

Assuming these are the same writers as Mutant Mayhem at work, of course

Granted, you could have a character arc where Donnie realizes his faith in technology has betrayed him

I wanna see where this goes; as much as I dislike the idea of Donnie supporting ChatGPT, the clip itself is pretty blatantly against genAI and others admonish him for even entertaining it

Like, the company that copied the Turtles is called "Authentic Imitations", how more on-the-nose can ya get
