its so hard to show the differences but i swear im not insane they added :3 faces to every m miqo and it bothered me esp on face4 bc its genuinely such a shame bc they had a much more ... mature(?) look to them, more "cool" rather than cute :3 cat. idk.

more specifically i would make a new vertex group to cover the neck area only so then w the data transfer/shrinkwrap modifier i yoinked stuff only from the parts i painted for that particular vertex group IT HELPED ME SO MUCJ

ripping the vertices throughout the sculpt making process has saved my sculpts many times so i highly suggest that!! In dire situations i've also used the data transfer + shrinkwrap modifier to copy the neck from the vanilla neck to the sculpt!(if this is confusing do lmk so i can elaborate!)

Being able to do art projects in the form of mods has been so much fucking fun. Genuinely. I love being able to play with friends by learning shit we never thought we'd learn about before.
I don't think dala will go away but the thoughts definitely came flooding in my mind

I know this isn't like. the end of the world or anything, we can survive mare being down
I think, though, if they for any reason go after dalamud in general, that will be most likely it for me. Modding has elevated my experience by a significant amount, unfortunately

I will also say I'm excited & a lil scared to go full public w some stories. I know some characters I've got feature v questionable themes. I view them as beautiful and complicated, but the general (current) internet has made the need for me to steel myself far more than i would've a few yrs ago....

none of them are "me", but they do represent aspects of me, I sometimes view them as creations that i almost have no control over with how intensely they influence my day-to-day life. It's maybe strange to say, but they do have a hold on me in a way that's strong enough to mess up my (scheduled) day

always interesting to see ppl's relationship w their OCs.... I'm the insane freak who sees them as separate entities but i also put a lot of my own soul and i suppose 'self' into them. But I also create them for the purpose of exploring unconventional or questionable themes

One thing I also noticed that made me sad is that there were plenty of times where I wanted to offer help to people who were working on some bigger projects but I feel like that tends to be taken as almost like an insult here? As though I'm seeking to "claim" profits (in social points??) from them..

I'm part of a small group of 3 and honestly this is precisely why I formed one in the first place - I wanted to so badly find some form of group or *something* bc I came from places where that was more common, I honestly wish we had something like this! Collabs with others sound like so much fun...

(im poor and don't craft in this game so thats another reason why getting gear is so tiring sometimes) I mentioned the disc in case you (or someone you know) is in a similar position like i am with gil LOL i can send the invite or something if you need it!

i joined a discord of really cool and chill crafter people who sell gear for always less than the average MB price for this exact reason... I don't have a group to run hard content and i refuse to play it with strangers so this is kinda the only way I've consistently gotten gear nowadays 😭
