Hi Scott. About the tornado in Öls/Oleśnica in 1535, I have a written account at home. Need to find it. I remember it was written that people were lifted, parts of the town walls collapsed + upper floors of houses were demolished. Basically a strong impact. Cheers, Thilo

A pretty partially sunlit little waterspout presented herself on the border of a storm east of Genoa

In terms of winter cold-front storms I'd say Kyrill 2007 had also several strong tornadoes, but not such a high number in total (we will investigate more about it). With older winter events, only little is known.

At least 32 tornadoes occurred over N Central Europe within 20 hours along cold-front storms. One tornado reached IF2.5, and 14 reached IF2 intensity

On 04 JUL 1929, a broad thunderstorm system started over CH and crossed parts of DE, AT, CZ, and PL - affecting an area of 1000km length and 700km width. Severe winds, giant hail, and several tornadoes were reported.

134 Years Ago - Tornado in Lind (North Rhine-Westphalia), Germany

On 01 JUL 1891, a violent tornado tracked over areas of Lind, Dülken, and Anrath. Tornadoes also occurred over Lower Saxony and Brandenburg that day.
