Yeah I envision Red as 23-24-ish during Portatori, as apparently a year passes during Red's segment (which was filled with fights between her and Crownslayer), then after that 4 months pass (as evidenced by Crownslayer's file saying she was let out of jail by Kal'tsit after 4 months.

Maybe when we get Kal'tsit back? Like a reunion between her and Red, and it cuts to an image showing Kal'tsit approaching a collapsed Red.

Oh definitely. It's mentioned Red had been an assassin for about 9 years at the start of the game. And only recently (at that point. Iirc Portatori is like 4 or 5 years after) did Red start doing homework.

As well as a touch of loneliness because nobody really cared for Red like a parent during those days.

Yk the thing that really makes me hate Caesar is just because of how genuine her affections seemed.

Red makes it clear that Caesar wad the only one who acted like a parent to her. Not even Kal'tsit acted as a mother to Red.

It just makes Caesar telling Red to end her own life so much more brutal.

Makes sense tbh. Seath hides behind being holy and angelic and a good person while secretly his soul is full of hate. Hell, he literally genocided an entire race cuz he got mad his champion died.

Guyra has the goofiness and Seath has the eldritchiness.

Luckily, Lyudmila has proven herself to be not-that-bad, what with her low-key admitting she's gonna help Red when she was talking to Eirene, and screaming for Kal'tsit to come and comfort Red when the two got back to RI.

Can we talk about how absolutely fucked it is that Lappland has Caesar around Rhodes Island?

Like, it's confirmed Red has been talking to Caesar in Lappalter's 200% trust file, and whenever she does she gets sullen n stuff.

Kal'tsit does try, but she could only do so much, as distant as she was. She's still leagues better than Caesar, though.

Still, it just sucks. Because out of Red's two mother figures, one was distant and couldn't give her enough affection, and the other manipulated her her entire life.

Tbf Red doesn't know Kal'tsit is dead, she's just hiding on the transformed RI with Priestess prowling it.

And I don't think Kal'tsit would essentially be the entire reason Red would grow. Imo she'd play a part in it but ultimately just coax Red into exploring stuff on her own.

Before chapter 15 I thought she'd meet with Kal'tsit and start growing.

Well, she might do that later on, she's just in a dangerous spot at the moment and Kal'tsit is sorta-dead.
