22.11.2025 16:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sen. Elissa Slotkin tells me threats against her have exploded since President Trump accused her and colleagues of sedition.
βThe Sergeant of Arms arranged for us to have 24/7 security, and that's because the threat level just went through the roof.β
But we have no indication it is anything beyond the subway fire. USCP:
"There was a small electrical fire on the subway that leads from the Rayburn House Office building to the U.S. Capitol. There are no injuries to those on board the subway. The fire was quickly put out with fire extinguishers."
But when we went outside we saw things had escalated. DC Fire brought a ladder truck to the East Front and we could see fire fighters climbing to the roof of the Capitol.
20.11.2025 22:17 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0There was no imminent danger unless you were right in the tunnel and there were reports of a Capitol Police officer feeling the effects of the smoke.
20.11.2025 22:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We were told not to walk down the tunnel, so we went around the other side and then saw police and firefighters rushing to the subway car. There were no flames.. but plenty of smoke and what you'd describe as an electrical smell.
20.11.2025 22:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0𧡠There is quite the scene outside the U.S. Capitol as firefighters have responded to fire involving a subway car in the Rayburn tunnel. We happened upon it while walking to a story.
20.11.2025 22:17 β π 9 π 3 π¬ 2 π 1Nothing.. and I mean nothing.. happens this quickly and this bi-partisan in this version of Congress. It is a signal of how overwhelmingly popular transparency is around the Epstein controversy and politicians who stand in the way of it- do so at their own peril.
18.11.2025 22:48 β π 18 π 3 π¬ 5 π 0BREAKING: Senator Chuck Schumer asked for unanimous consent to pass the resolution to force the DOJ to release Epstein files the second it is sent over by the House. No one objected and it will now pass the Senate as soon as it arrives.
18.11.2025 22:33 β π 19 π 7 π¬ 3 π 2Also- despite Speaker Johnsonβs pleas to amend the Epstein resolution, Leader Thune said that was unnecessary.
βWell, I think when a bill passes the House for 427 to 1 and the president said he'll sign into law, Iβm not sure there is a need for amendments.β
JUST IN: Majority Leader Thune said the Senate is βhotliningβ (the process by which they see how Senators would vote) on the Epstein resolution and a vote should happen this week maybe even today.
18.11.2025 20:24 β π 10 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0BREAKING: The House has passed the resolution to force the DOJ to release the Epstein files 427-1.
18.11.2025 19:44 β π 9 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0JUST IN: Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said he will immediately move to pass the resolution to force the DOJ to release the Epstein files via unanimous consent once it passes the House today.
18.11.2025 17:27 β π 12 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0As the House prepares to vote on a resolution to force the DOJ to release the Epstein files- Speaker Mike Johnson is about to speak to reporters and has this visual to demonstrate his concerns about the bill. Could this slow the billβs progress?

The lesson of this shutdown.. like all shutdowns.. is that they always end with an empty feeling. No one really wins, no one really loses, everyone is mad at each other and very little is accomplished. It ultimately never really works.. but guess what.. it will probably happen again.
