Great write up Carl. I struggle with many id 's, one only 4 yrs birding and two I don't or can't contain the memory that's where down here at least we have great birders who don't mind a pic or two being sent their way. A great birding community.Got my Caspian gull for the yr today as well.

Saw a post from Mike langman about a Caspian gull at Otter Nature Reserve budleigh did think twice when looked out the window at trees bending in half in gale but I'm glad I did as it was still there & bonus only had to walk 20yrds!! Thanks Steve Waite also.👍 #UKBirding #Devonbirds. #DevonWlife.

First time out for a while because of nerve problem in hip & leg. But made the effort to walk up to Noah's lake at Ham Wall this morning to see my first American wigeon. Found it after 3 hrs looking at thousands of duck,think I got wigeon eye!!. No chance of pic. #UKBirding. #Somersetbirding.
