Had a small walk into mutters moor sidmouth last night and had good show of nightjars. Wing clapping & calling in this video. On another had two nearly hit me they got so close. At least 7 seen but that was only in one tiny part of moor. #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

What happens if you drop the water levels ?.Small waders drop in like these 2 adult Curlew sandpipers good to see he is finally lowering the levels at seaton wetlands at last. Even some dunlin and redshanks could feed in there today. #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

Was on me way to Somerset early morning but had to use a gateway just off the A303 nr sparkford (to much tea !). And wow saw 2 quail run across track, couldn't finish quick enough to get phone but didn't see them again but got them calling over the noise of main road. #UKBirding #Somersetbirding.

Not sure why but tried seaton wetlands this morning early not a wader in sight at black hole marsh. Instead of lowering water levels they have raised them. Any waders were out on river where the mud was. Greenshank & redshanks along with a few Curlew. #UKBirding #Devonbirds.
