The other two PiΓ±eiros I've read were so flipping good it would be hard to top them to be honest! There's a lot I haven't read on your pile as well - Woman at Point Zero is excellent though, I really need to read more by her.

I'm not keen on either the Tilted Axis or And Other Stories covers, I think they're a real downgrade. Honestly just looks like they wanted to save on proper design to me. If we're talking retaining a uniform identity while still having great design we only have to look at Charco!

If your reading recommendations (especially if you are an industry professional of some kind) include no works by Black authors
Then I urge you to *seek out and read* more work by Black authors

Fellow authors, I love you, and I know it feels like we donβt have a choice, but B&N and Am*zon both scheduled sales this week to preempt Independent Bookstore Day, a hugely vital source of income for indie bookstores. Please donβt promote their sales; please promote your local indie this week.

Iβll look up the former. The latter Iβm aware of, I emailed the writer to see if it would be possible to read the manuscript but unfortunately she hasnβt replied so that might not be possible.

Quite a few of these are the tough ones that I haven't got to yet and I read in French for Chad and Niger. I have got things lined up for most of them so I'll let you know if they're good, and will wait to see if you manage to find anything for Palau - that's the last one I'm really struggling with!
