I composed a song, recorded it w/ a $100 recorder, scored it w/ audacity & MuseScore. When the audio drama director needed the situation the song was used in to change, I was able to pivot & make tweaks to the lyrics.

I don't work in the music industry. I'm nowhere near wealthy.

Just my own brain.

Every sci-fi show has a "whoops we've swapped bodies" episode.
Farscape is by far my favorite, because they had the guts to do what no other show did.

Omg I'm so sorry. My care's simple by comparison, but I had the same issue last year. My cardiologist went from 5min away to 90min away. I had to go 90 miles for a diagnostic blood draw. Which was SO DUMB because my work could have told our insurance co "treat it as in network" and they just DIDN'T

It is astounding to me, with my Swiss cheese memory, that I can see the title "Bogoróditse Djévo" & instantly remember the song - even though the last time I sang it was in high school & that was decades ago.
I don't have the words (I don't speak russian) but I can hum my part & all the others.

It's November, so even though the official organization has imploded, I'm still writing a book.

i just used the word "gloat" in my novel and holy hell, why does it look like it's something i just made up? That can't be a word. Gloat gloat gloat. It's a glowing goat.

The little girl in full rain gear, wet hair plastered flat, only the necklace peeking out of her coat speaking to her costume, absolutely LIT UP LILLKE THE SUN when I said "Happy Halloween, Katara!" 😭

It's a hoot! My fae is flummoxing kids by knowing what they're dressed as - I said "You're welcome, Master Chief!" & the little boy looked at me like I'd just spoken to him in the invented language only he was supposed to know 😂 Middle aged ladies aren't supposed to know about Halo, apparently!

I will say that last year I gave the kids the choice of Candy or Potato.

I ran out of potatoes in the first two hours 😂

This year it's candy or glow bracelet! I anticipate running out of bracelets first!

I so, so wish I could do this! But with literally over 1k kids trick or treating in my neighborhood, I just can't afford it. 😮‍💨 Luckily I have some amazing friends who donate candy to the cause, especially this year!

(Yes it's really over a thousand! 😂)

A local BUISNESS conducts a candy drive for us.
The last two years I've been in a play in October and cast mates who don't even have kids have brought me candy!

It's a safe place for kids to trick-or-treat. And the neighborhood steps up every damn year.

Oh screw them! I live in a (middle class, non-HOA) neighborhood that consists of multiple cul-de-sacs. They close the road to cars, and people park in the nearby grocery store lots and walk in.

I routinely get *over 1,000* trick or treaters.

And you know what?

My friends donate money/candy

My insurance had to pay MORE because I had to set up with all new doctors and specialists, so instead of my yearly cheap check-in, I had to do a bunch of absurdly expensive "new patient" appointments.

And my main GP is still out of network because she's a freaking ANGEL and I refuse to leave her.
