Posts about Israel/Palestine, flags, etc. have been inundating this sub recently and every post inevitably turns to fighting that has absolutely nothing to do with psytrance. The hatred and vitriol in the comment sections put the community at risk of being banned. This is a music sub first and foremost, and while you are allowed to have strong opinions on geopolitical matters, they are better suited for geopolitical subs. I have maintained a relatively hands off approach to moderating, as I prefer to let the community decide which direction it takes, but the discourse lately has been too inflammatory and off-topic. This is not meant to suppress any particular viewpoint, and is only a response to the incessantly hostile rhetoric. I will be posting moderator applications soon. The politics moratorium is not permanent and the new mod team will decide together on how much political discourse will be allowed going forward. Until such a time, I will be removing political posts and posts that have nothing to do with psytrance.

The psytrance subreddit is going "no politics" to smother support for Palestine and criticism of Israel's genocide, plenty of which seems sparked by the recent drama of Skazi pulling out of Tomorrowland.

1) chipmunk bass lines; if you can't keep it deep ur doing it wrong!
2) super smashy snare on every second beat, something I also despise about a lot of milquetoast nu-disco
3) ludicrous speed; 220+ is too much

Listening to so much classic (and especially liquid) drum 'n bass while out on the town these days. It's such a refreshing change of pace... and constantly gives flashbacks, for inasmuch as I got way more into trance, being from Toronto means you were always around the influence of jungle.
