Pants.

Jogging bottoms, crumpled by the bed.

I picked them up, turned them outside in, and noticed how small they were.

My heart filled with joy.

As big as my boy is getting, he is still a child, in the midst of childhood, wearing children’s clothes and leaving them crumpled by the bed.

True or false?

Dig a hole or make a mound;
you’re shovelling either way.
What you end up with
depends on you.

A journalist once accused me of being a snowflake.

“I’d rather be a snowflake than a hailstone”, I replied.

To this day, I don’t understand why being woke or a snowflake is an insult.

Sometimes, I am so busy procrastinating I don’t have the capacity to work.

After all, I am too busy.

Then, I remember how much our home is peaceful and playful; I notice how happy he is (and we are), and I count my blessings that we get to enjoy each other’s company in the comfort of our own home.

I see pictures of families having days out and wonder if we should be going out more.

I hear about kids going to parties, clubs, or events and become anxious that my child is “missing out.”

Even so, I occasionally worry that I am failing him.

My son struggles to go out in the world.

He is autistic. For him, that means the noise and unpredictability of the world is too much—especially when he cannot easily return to a safe space.

We support him and, when possible, create opportunities for him to stretch into.

After years of self-doubt, it was the writing and illustration of a short story for my toddler convinced me that I could design for others.

Since then, I have designed countless brand identities and founded Postagrid – a creative agency dedicated to distinctive content branding.

Roll on 2025!

Each day, there are three options:

• Chaos (maximum mischief).
• Fun (giggles & laughter).
• Surprise (treats, games, and activities).

If you want it, it’s yours.

• No strings attached.
• No sign-up.
• No need to comment, "Elf," or engage in any way.

Enjoy! Feel free to share.

It’s almost that time of year when parents go to bed and remember they still haven’t moved Elf.

At least, that's my experience. 😬

But not this year!! 🎉

This year, I created a list of 72 simple-to-implement activities requiring minimal prep. And I’m giving it away!

Learning is worth applauding—whether someone teaches you, you use a book, watch a YouTube video, or figure it out through trial and error.

Celebrate learning.
Celebrate progress.
Celebrate effort.

I congratulated someone for completing a Rubik’s cube.

They replied “I used a book.”

“Still impressive”, I commented.

Jaguar has successfully reminded people about all the things they love about a Jag.

Whether or not Jaguar's bold and creative risk will pay off is yet to be seen.

I am on team Jaguar.

They have shown a significant leap of faith in their future. And, though it may seem as though they have "forgotten their roots", one thing is sure:

On the surface, Jaguar appears to be destroying a brand built over decades.

It could be said they are breaking their promises.
Or perhaps they are breaking away from promises made almost a century ago to create the space to deliver something just as extraordinary this century.

Branding gets people curious.

The delivery of a promise builds trust, loyalty, and desire.

A rebrand won't be enough.

First, Jaguar must deliver the cars that people want.

After all, a brand is not the colours, fonts, and logo; it is the promise and delivery of something people need or want.

The rebrand is unexpected, and the backlash is extreme.

It feels like a betrayal of what Jaguar once was.

But, whether we like it or not, times have changed; people's desires have changed.

Can Jaguar re-ignite a passion for its cars?

Yet, Jaguar was once a desirable brand. A car to aspire toward. How can it be that no one even thinks about it?

People are foretelling "brand death"; they say Jaguar's 90-year history has "been erased."

I have seen commentators crying that "Wokeness" destroys everything good.

But, until this week, people weren't even thinking about Jags, let alone desiring them. They certainly weren't buying them.

In the last two decades, I can count the number of times I have heard people talking about Jaguar on one hand.

Scrap that; I'd forgotten the brand entirely.

That was until their recent, controversial rebrand.

Suddenly, Jaguar is a hot topic.
