Proud to see #eCOL+ mentioned by the @lsu.bsky.social Museum of Natural Science for its assistance with the @mnhn.fr fish study 🐟

Dan Sinopoli analysed 55 specimens of bowfin and garfish. One of the specimens scanned by #eCOL+ showed the remains of its last meal!

Shark jaws don't just open and close. Dogfish sharks can protrude and retrude their upper and lower jaws (green) and use their "hyoid arch" (purple) to expand their throat and generate suction.
