Nevada Legislature to maintain highest rate of female representation in the nation in 2025 - The Nevada Independent Colorado and New Mexico join the Silver State in having female majorities after November's election. The number of female lawmakers nationwide has hit a record.

Nevada was the first state in the country to have a female-majority Legislature in 2018. Next year, the state will continue this trend with women making up almost 62 percent of state lawmakers.
