To the person that monitors my posts and relays them to my stalker: you are not my friend. She has sent me 140 emails in January alone, turned up to my home several times. She won't let me go out without turning up to events even though she lives 2 hours away.

I don't know what's worse. Getting harassed by a transphobe at my local or the 4 people including the owner come up to me to apologise the following week. I don't like to stand out and it's well intended but not needed. They didn't do anything wrong.

Just to add. Most voting places are locations like schools, council buildings and other government buildings. It's very easy to get to one and we also have the prevoting and postal votes.
We don't really have protection against getting time to go vote but the way we do it we don't need it.

I've actually worked at the last 4 elections. We vote on Saturday and you have all day 7am-6pm as well as prevoting for a week before the day.
Voting is mandatory.
There isn't any specific transport but most people are within walking distance of a poling place.
And yes free universal healcare.
