You look cool when using a motorcycle helmet. You do not look cool when using a VR headset.

Motorcycle helmets are heavier by a lot like 3lb. vs 500g. Motorcycles are fun. VR is fun. Motorcycles can get you to interesting places, to work, to see friends. VR can get you to interesting virtual places, can do work, and see far away friends.

‪VR thought experiment of the day: on one hand there are let’s say generously 50 million VR headsets in use. On the other hand easily over 500 million motorcycle helmets in use. They cost about the same. Which on weighs more? Which one has more value? Let’s include the motorcycle too.‬

More joy of VR indiedev today! When you try to upgrade from Unity 6.0 to 6.1 and then you spend all day looking for the updated package that broke controller tacking and it turns out to be a “fix” in the Input System! So much fun! 🤩
