I will be at #SOTB2026 on Saturday, Jet-lagged and confused.

If you feel I’ve wronged you, that’s your chance to seek satisfaction. Heck, I may print cards of satisfaction and just leave them on my lap so I can nap during lunch.

Steve Faulkner (@SteveFaulkner@mastodon.social) Benchmark Results: Accessibility Performance Across AI Models by Casey Kreer https://conesible.de/wab/results.html

The β€œAverage Accessibility Defects” number goes down with some guidance, but right back up with expert guidance.

Wondering if experts try to coach it (versus hand-wavy requests) and LLM’s corpus of stolen data doesn’t have the material to make what’s asked of it.

Me dragging an image into the Teams PWA UI, and given no option to add alt text.

Me attaching image into Teams PWA UI, still no option.

Me pasting the image. Yeah, sure, Teams lets me add alt text.

Who is the fucklechuck who came up with this UI?

But you can use open captions _and_ link to a transcript.

It really seems like the ratio of billionaires who were β€˜conned’ by Epstein is dramatically higher than the ratio of the general populace.

Maybe there’s something about billionaires that makes them such easy marks. Some trait or failing. Some moral gap.

Granted, some lingo is a team trying to reinvent the same old pattern while pretending it’s new.

That’s how we get drawers and bottom-sheets which are typically dialogs.

Or cards and tiles which are usually just divs.

Or toasts and growls which are shitty messages.

You’re suggesting the LLM is up to the task when you’re really admitting it failed and you’re too lazy to take it further.

Less critical folks won’t understand that and shitty managers pre-disposed to justifying their sunk costs will reference it as a win.

If you’re vide-coding MVPs (or pre-MVPs?) that you have no intention of taking further and instead releasing them as proofs of concept and moving on to your next soon-to-be-abandoned MVP, understand that you’re a patsy. A shill.
