I've just asked Alexa if you can eat the brown bits inside of an aubergine. Never thought my life would take such a sudden turn

Northern monkey who's never perfected that simian stroll. #htafc and #sfgiants fan with delusions of adequacy. Tea drinker and history enthusiast

20.01.2025 17:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Love a snow game, but baffled why #NFL teams don't have some sort of undersoil heating and don't use an orange ball
19.01.2025 22:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, it's like shouting into a cave. Wanted this to work, but it really hasn't at the moment. Can't quite understand why. I inadvertently tweeted on there today thinking it was this, and had more replies than I've ever had on here. I still look now and again, but it's horrible

I managed to get my daughter to watch "it's a wonderful Life" which sure thought was cute but not Christmassy enough. She did like it though.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a classic, but most others are awful. They probably were at the time though, but I didn't realise it. Action films were stunning though. I grew up watching Raiders, Empire, and Top Gun.

04.01.2025 18:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thought that was pretty evenly contested but #htafc had the better chances. Still too slow and pedestrian in their build up. Bojan playing okay and is getting involved which is all we can ask.

Ladapo had all but 29 of those.

What Town need is a quick tempo, crisp passing, and a dogged midfield. What is actually happening is they're being drawn into a slugfest with slow stale passing. Lees is having way too much of the ball and really isn't capable of anything more than passing back

I was hooked once again.
I've been a season ticket holder ever since.
It was then that I moved north to Holmfirth. My son was born, and when he started school, his school was offering tickets to see Huddersfield Town. I started taking him more regularly. Then the centenary season came. Β£100 season ticket was too good to miss even for a shift worker.
29.12.2024 14:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oddly enough against Newcastle. It was 1988, and they were riding the crest of a wave, fresh from FA cup victory a year earlier. I stuck with Coventry for a while, and when I started work at just 16, followed them. It never felt like home though.
When they left Highfield Road, I stopped following.
I remember watching endless matches on the TV and writing about them in my school diary. I was taken to my first ever match on a Boxing Day by my uncle some 40 years ago. West Brom Vs Newcastle. I was hooked, but my dad still didn't take me. He relented some years later and I went to see Coventry
29.12.2024 14:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0All on my lonesome today at my beloved #htafc.
It's an odd type of relationship really. They say a football team is for life, but I'm an adopted Town fan having grown up in Brum. My dad was a Burnley fan, but had fallen out of love with football, and my mum didn't like football. I loved it though
