John Wilson: Could Ireland benefit as climate change makes wine production difficult in warmer climes? We are likely to see a move to cooler regions and countries including Scandinavia, Britain and, yes, even Ireland

Yaay, canโ€™t wait to see the Irish wine industry take off. We may have nothing to actually eat in future but weโ€™ll hopefully be too hammered to care.

They're going to have to mic up the referees with these new rules. Very confusing at times trying to figure out what's going on. All in all though, new rules are brilliant. Making for very exciting games! #GAA

Naomh Pรกdraig have rolled on to Croke Park for the All Ireland final in two weeks.

What a day in Parnell Park. Game of the season & a fully deserved win.

Thrilled for every man on that pitch today, and so proud of my dad and my brother Eoghan in the management team.

We go again. Hon Muff!

But but but it costs TOO MUCH to tackle #climate change, itโ€™s so much cheaper to just let it happen. Just ask any mainstream economist.

This is looking like a very good day for Labour.

Not only does Marie Sherlock look like she's going to be elected, but Mark Wall and Conor Sheehan are firmly in the hunt too.

Happy days so far. Nothing to be taken for granted obviously, but a good start ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน

Just a reminder of the peak moment for the Irish electoral system, which occurred during the 2020 election.

Wouldn't rule anything out until the Wexford Town boxes come in. I wonder could Mick Wallace get a big boost from them? All ahead still!

Honestly I don't think so. RBB hasn't been shy to barge in and I think he is mirroring O'Callaghan in terms of positioning. But maybe it's a question of style as well.

There has been much begrudgery about the fact there will be 10 leaders in tonight's debate.

But doesn't it go to show that we in Ireland have one the most representative democracies in the world?

How many other countries have parties that genuinely represent all interests? Looking forward to it!

The far-right have no interest in protecting rights of people at work, and their actions ought to be heard as loudly as their rhetoric.

Great piece here from Dan, laying out clearly the contractions of these far right groups.

Listening to a lot of Irish trad music lately, and I can only conclude that "roving" was once a much more popular pastime than it is today.

William T. Cosgrove ran in Carlow-Kilkenny and in Cork Borough in the September election of 1927 and topped the poll in both constituencies with a combined vote of over 31,000. He had to choose between constituencies and ultimately chose the seat in Cork.

Five years ago today, I spoke in Dรกil Eireann at the Youth Assembly on Climate.

Eamon Ryan was one of the only politicians to meet us that day.

Love him or loath him, his contribution to public policy in Ireland has been immense. I wish him the very best in the next chapter of his life.

We got away with that one tonight. Seriously unlucky for Argentina, given our last score came in the 30th minute.

Serious questions need to be asked before the next game #Ireland #IrishRugby
