About half my town is affected by a boil water mandate until tomorrow. All of a sudden it’s like you are camping in your own home and you’re brushing your teeth with a quarter cup of bottled water and your ‘shower’ is quick work with a washcloth. We take water for granted!

Every day I log on and just see endless videos of ICE agents breaking state, federal, and international laws.

I’m preaching to choir, but to all those who drove by & looked blank as we protested today, put down your phones & your lattes & wake the hell up! There were plenty of approving drivers who honked, but there was apathy from too many others. They don’t see ICE here so I guess they just don’t care.

Our generals serve the country, not an ex-Fox News clown looking for headlines.

If maga believes that there is an ‘enemy from within’ then there are people all over the country who see their neighbors as their enemies. That is straight up mental Civil War.

Ridiculous, yes. And unbelievable. And horrifying. And yet, I gotta go to work, I smile at people at the grocery store, I fill the gas tank. We all are basically acting like it’s just another day. But it’s not. We all know it.

Such terrifying language from a U.S. official!!!

The press is often referred to as the 4th Estate and an additional check on protecting American democratic values. Limitations on the media's ability to report is a direct violation of the 1st Amendment. Limiting what the media can report is a fundamental element of authoritarianism.

“The president should be removed from office because he is plainly insane.”

I mean, there is no war in Portland. There just isn’t. You can’t & won’t avoid reporting this story. But you’ll still find a way to try to report it in a way that gives him the benefit of the doubt.

And that’s wrong.

Some in my family are convinced of ‘war-ravaged’ Portland and it makes me want to fly right up there and video myself walking safely downtown and in the peaceful parks, and eating at the amazing food truck plaza. I think it would be the only images they would believe are real and not ‘fake news’.
