I shop at Calgary Co-op. Not cheaper but at least it’s not one of the grocery oligopoly.
They do over $1 billion revenue so they are significant in the Calgary market.
I would like to see more co-operative capitalism and co-op housing too.

There is a new free food store in downtown Calgary. I think it is operated by the food bank.
