Things I learned: it’s not all about ancient woodland - ancient grasslands are also special, meadows and pastureland are VERY different, fungi are curious alien things we don’t really understand, and mycologists are often snooty about common names which seems silly when they are so fun πŸ„ πŸ„β€πŸŸ«

I know it doesn't actually solve the problem, but as a regular train commuter this website does help me get past the enigmatic silences of platform displays/announcements... www.realtimetrains.co.uk

It's been a very quiet week.
As a small business owner that’s a bit scary heading into my busy season.

So, if you're looking for unique #Christmas gifts, I make prints, homewares, cards & accessories inspired by midcentury design, music & architecture.

Everything we know about the Louvre jewellery heist The world-famous museum in Paris is still closed on Monday after a masked gang raided one of its galleries.

Obviously we don't approve of security guards being threatened, but you've got to admire a good old fashioned daylight heist. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

We did homemade Parkin, lots of treacle toffee, and a local bonfire with a guy on top. Sometimes sparklers and fireworks in the back garden if we were lucky. (Greater Manchester in the late 80s.)
