For decades, trans folks have had to convince cis doctors that they were “trans enough” for gender affirming care. This reality has damaged the trans community in many ways… which just means we have to fight that much harder to persevere and emanate trans joy

Recommend the thread; this part especially resonates with me because it highlights how gender affirming care is powerful even for those of us who are relatively able to "cope." A lot of rhetoric against this care is based on outdated yet widespread notions that it should only be a last resort.

This, and somehow she couldn’t say trans women are women 😐
