Okay, took me a minute, but that’s hysterical.

I have just finished arrangements and orchestrations for AMT Theater's "Upside Down," which goes into rehearsal Monday. I didn't count the total number of bars, but the piano/vocal score is 178 pages. It's been a long month—I started with lead sheets!

Here's what I just did: left messages for Congressman Adriano Espaillat and Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand asking them to reach across the aisle and find Republicans who are willing to push back on 47's illegal executive actions, which abrogate Congress' powers.

I’m thinking more of an ongoing resource for effective responses. Guess that wasn’t clear.

I don't want echo-chamber hand-wringing. I want a calm, rational assessment of whether there are any potentially effective responses we should be making, whether to push back or simply to mitigate the effects. Anybody got anything like that?

As tempting as that is, the world needs us to stay engaged, to the extent that we can.
