Playing the Trails remake, and I gotta say that I emphatically love cooking systems that reward you using it with first time cooks granting base stat increases. Legit just feels nice to interact with a system and see definitive and immediately useful rewards.

Just finished watching it, it's actually kinda crazy how peaceful some locations look without the fog?

Hopefully the season pass content provides some actual CONTENT to work through and not just some packs of Digimon to collect, because the different stories in the side quests really wowed me and while not mechanically interesting still stood out as memorable regardless.

Just finished Digimon Story: Time Stranger. I've said it multiple times but this is the game Digimon needed to happen for years. Great story, great team building potential, lots of good mechanics, side quests all feel meaningful, & the music bops. Still some kinks to work out for a sequel, but damn.

I do hope this forces Bandai to realize Digimon could seriously compete with a budget, but I also hope they don't neglect the World series of pet management gameplay either. I feel both have markets and could appeal to wider audiences if they had the budgets and time to work out the kinks.

I'm in the end game of Time Stranger and I can definitively say this is by far the best Digimon game ever made. The bar was never super high but most of them were quality for the budget they likely got. This game though blows them all out of the water. LOVE the story in this game.

Honestly I hope one day Bandai gets the balls to do a full-on Mirei Mikagura focused story in one of the Digimon games. She has so much potential considering her backstory and seemingly flux nature to each of the digital worlds.

Time Stranger legitimately NEEDS to put the BeatBreak digimon cast in the season pass because fuck I love how much of a freak Gekkomon is in the anime so far.

Digimon BeatBreak has actually been killing it so far. Not the most amazing production but for Digimon it's definitely up there and the story is keeping a great pace so far. The music is also Oops, All Bangers! which fucking rules. Gekkomon is a little freak of a Digimon which I'm all about too.

Oh, I get it. It's called Castlevania because it's a metroidvania set in a castle!

Otherwise it was business as usual, with all of us fighting over who got to play what games on it. I will say, I will never forgive myself nor my sisters for how poorly we treated some of these discs for our systems. My Underground is in very poor shape because of us leaving them all over.

I now coincidentally own all three, since my sisters kinda fell off gaming over the years. Tarzan sucked, no getting around it. But BfBB and Underground are some of the most fun games I still own on the system. We did eventually pick up Bionicle (bad) and Sunshine (good) for the system that year.

2003 was a big year for my family in terms of gaming. We got the Gamecube this year, and my sisters and I each got to pick a game to go with it. My youngest chose Tarzan, the older of the two took Battle for Bikini Bottom, and I got Tony Hawk's Underground.

You know, I kinda miss the old school Stargate shows back on Sci-Fi (SyFy). Always kinda weird it never churned out a decent video game either considering the series seemed ripe for it. Universe especially was just coming into its own as a series before it got canned.

The only thing I can think of is "Not every piece of equipment is necessarily a flat upgrade". Great game, hope you enjoy it!

I still spent most of the year begging my dad for the GameCube though that even my sisters started getting in on it and the following year he eventually caved, and in fact my sisters are important for many of the stories about the years going forwards.

We never did find at the time a copy of the third Pajama Sam game, but we did have basically every other Humongous Entertainment game since buying used PC games in our area was actually pretty cheap from what my dad told me. He was happy I liked all these cheap games, that's for sure.

We had the first one, but none of the others. Obviously these came out years earlier, but to me they were new at the time & they were tons of fun. Honestly, they're still pretty well written for kids games! Definitely worth checking out. Eventually we did grab the second game at a secondhand store.

This year was however the year I was allowed to use the family PC, and they had several "Edu-tainment" games which I still kinda love to this day. The major ones were several of the Humongous Entertainment games such as Freddi Fish and Spy Fox. My favorite was Pajama Sam.

This year the GBA and GC both launched, but the only game I got on GBA was Link to the Past at the end of the year. My dad was adamant that's all we could get. Obviously my dad was just being financially responsible, but young me was a brat and thought he was being an asshole lmao.

2002 was a big year in games but my year was a bit weirder. First off I should make a correction: I was wrong about THPS3 last post, I misremembered when I got it & was informed by my sister that we actually got it and THPS4 THIS year for Xbox. Sorry about that! Still left a huge impact on my life.
