Tonight: The Game Awards!

We’re deeply honored that HADES II is in the running for Game of the Year and more at #TheGameAwards tonight, especially since we’re in the company of such an amazing group of wildly different and beautiful games.

I've been really enjoying Metroid Prime 4, but I've had a few friends say they were annoyed with the game telling them where to go. I actually got lost at a few different points so far, so maybe it just depends on the person?

Bumping for the weekend crowd! It's easy to go full rage-bait on the internet, especially with Nintendo, but the truth lies somewhere in between. Voting with your wallet isn't as easy or simple as some folks make it seem.

They're the richest company in Japan by a wide margin, and largely control legislation in multiple countries around the world. Your decision is less about what it means for Nintendo, and more what it means for you.

They're industry-leading bad guys and there's pretty much always a valid reason to hate them, just like Apple. They're also inescapable in many ways, and we shouldn't kid ourselves that anything will "stop" them from being horrible.

If all of this is, in fact, enough to cut Nintendo out completely, then by all means: make that choice. Unfortunately, because everything is driven by shareholders and somewhat divorced from consumer sentiment, Switch 2 will be a success no matter how many dozens of folks decide to boycott Nintendo.

Execs can re-interpret your decision however you want, and you can only vote "for" something, never "against". However, every purchasing decision you make does have a demonstrable impact, and I wanted the conversation to be more focused on your own personal decisions, and "ethical consumption".

I've been wanting to branch out to other kinds of videos besides just normal Completionist videos, but those are still going to come out as always! It's about trying to have a more sustainable workflow so that I'm not killing myself trying to complete a game each week like before.

Real quick, want to highlight the new Completionist intro that premiered in today's episode! I'm so incredibly thankful for this, it was a phenomenal effort and it's just so damn HYPE.

Completing Silksong was an incredibly emotional journey for me, but in spite of my own cynicism, Silksong became one of my favorite Metroidvanias of all time. Yes, it's tough; but if that's your thing, Silksong flips the script in some wildly unique ways.

Guess who just found out that Ball x Pit has New Game Plus PLUS

Finally got the platinum in Ball x Pit, only to find out there's a NG+. Been having a ton of fun, but leveling up characters isn't really super rewarding anymore. Am I missing some crazy farming strat that makes this way easier?

The Merchant is my current favorite, also the Shield Knight and Sisyphus even though I suck at using them haha.

The world might suck, but Ball X Pit is tight as hell.

I've been off bluesky for a while, but it seems things are better than the other place? Anyway I'll do my best to stay active on here!
