Hatter, now living in Wolverhampton. Likely to post about football, cricket, music, food, politics, religion, quite a few things tbh. LTFC though will feature heavily...
But this is grim and dumb.
25.02.2026 22:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Both parties have misrepresented polling in their literature. Both parties also rely on misrepresentation to the point of slurs regarding each other's policies at a scale that rivals Lab-Tory attacks.
Modern politics is trash at times. Progressives nearly as bad as the right.
Re PA it is a fiasco. But note the Court concluded they were neither what the Home office said or what PA supporters claim. Think its been a terrible own goal but have no illusions about PA either.
24.02.2026 17:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Point 1 is fair. Point 2 is fair but changing. Point 3 is mixed.
Workers and renters rights. Massive child poverty reductions. Green investments. Education reform. Social housing investment
Meaningful reforms for NEET young people. Nationalisation of railways...
All worth fighting for.
Think Cardiff is the better example. Martin is an extremist๐
If you look at Bradford, Lincoln, the Christmas home games etc. That is how he wants us to play.
Cardiff do this consistently.
We are not consistent and when teams find us out, then you get the plodding version.
Every team does those things. Jones team, Edwards good team, Newells, even Pleats.
What Wilshere is asking the team to do is play in a similar style to Cardiff.
Difference is Cardiff have been playing this way for longer and are more confident and consistent.
Strongly feel Gary is a scapegoat. Things need changing including parts of his role. But the amout of praise he got in our unlikely rise is ridiculously dwarfed by the amount of criticism he is getting in our fall.
It's mostly the football specialists failing.
It would be a big mistake to lose Gary's almost unique understanding of how a football club can rise and the stadium project. However we need another strong character to build a new culture footballing wise and support JW. The football/infrastructure director/+++CEO role is too much on 1 person now.
22.02.2026 08:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Agree. I think the chopping and changing style wise hasn't helped. Incidentally when we went long yesterday we weren't great. Ultimately its player mentality and energy that's the problem. Not convinced another manager change is going to help.
22.02.2026 08:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Its the lack of energy from the players. Last 3 games they have been 2nd best in battles and 2nd balls. This has been a recurring theme the last 2 seasons. Wilshere or whoever sorts it needs to do. its a confidence thing.
21.02.2026 22:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks, good context to your original point that I veered from. Starting to wonder whether electoral reform and a similar system may damp down some (not suggesting magic bullet) of the toxicity a little that is rampant whether left, celtic nationalism, centre or right in UK politics?
19.02.2026 07:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Many depressing things. But arguably the most depressing is the growing number of strikers who have flopped playing for us over the past 2 seasons.
Laid bare by the winner being scored by the regularly ineffective for us Joe Taylor.
Labour gives the right immigration reform they can get behind. The left-green energy investments, workers/renters rights, child poverty reduction, etc they should get behind.
Conservatives and progressives take turns to punch him in the nose also.
Does it ever occur to the media that you chaps may equally be the problem? Carney govt will have the same growth as the UK
Assume the Canadian press aren't in the same incessant and tired Doom loop over it?
Yes that whole 12 is great and was close to putting the wild pitch mix up. He was on great form around then.

Jack has made some good progress. But the mentality away from home is terrible. Not sure what can be done in the short term but they are so vulnerable.
Cardiff are the best team in the league soi are the measure. We are still very short of it when it matters.
Released 30 years today, The Score catapulted The Fugees to world wide superstardom. Deservedly so as this album was a relentlessly brilliant mix of hip-hop, soul and reggae that celebrated the migrant struggle against adversity. Fuck ICE.
13.02.2026 09:55 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The stark contrast is set to raise a simple but incendiary question: who is truly paying for Britain?
Racist POS Ratcliffe, or people coming here from all over the world helping to build Britain? #UKNews
Sir Jim Ratcliffe lives in Monaco, which has been colonised by immigrant tax dodgers.
