Such a shame that many birds lose their summer plumage at this time of the year. We have a rare visitor at Southwick right now, a Red-necked Grebe that in a few months time will look stunning. Still, really pleased to catch sight of it nonetheless, and not a bad looker even now! #birds

We're extremely lucky that every year without fail we have breeding Kingfishers at Warnham LNR. Usually the first sighting gets everyone excited and the hides are packed, today I comfortably sat with a few others watching this cracking male. @sussexwildlife.bsky.social #kingfisher #birds

One of our local foxes has realised she can view all 3 gardens where food will be left out by simply sitting on our shed roof. She can also see the other foxes as they move around on their nightly prowl. Smart girl! #urbanfox #FoxOfTheDay
