💰 In reality, only $361 million has been deposited into the fund, but not disbursed

Essentially, no country has received any climate finance yet, even as global temperatures breached the 1.5°C threshold in 2024.

0.062% - That's how much climate finance has been deposited into the Fund for Responding to Loss & Damage (FRLD) by developed nations, compared to actual needs.

In monetary terms, the FRLD’s ‘Status of Resources’ report notes that:
💰 The developing world needs $580 billion in climate finance

BRICS bloc proposes more multilateralism, sustainable development of Global South US President Donald Trump threatens BRICS affiliates with 10% additional tariff

💡 Brazilian President criticized the IMF, World Bank for ensuring that “emerging and developing economies finance the more developed world”
💡 BRICS bloc also supported India’s candidacy to host COP33 in 2028
