I'll put it this way: DMC 5 came out in 2019, and ever since, I wanted a similar game that I could love even half as much (FF 16 came close, but I have a few gripes) It's too early to tell, but NG 4 is dangerously close to being just as good for me

Shurikens maintain wall-splat values, letting you get cute with combos in some funny ways.

Was mostly to labbing, but died 7-ish times on first mission in NG 4 on *Normal. Almost shed a tear I'm so happy, can't remember the last game to humble me like this and I can't wait to get good at it and run through Master Ninja mode

making games is just straight-up hard and will never be "easy" - but investing in people's (and your own's, especially) ability to have fun while working and enter/maintain a flow state can make it both so much faster and so much easier
