Correct, take our cheap oil out of the equation and USA has a very nice services surplus with Canada. We’ve had auto manufacturing for more than a century which we invest in. The oil has a market which makes gas affordable for the mid west.

Correct, no monarchy in Canada and we have our own Constitution. We do not honor the British monarchy which itself is symbolic vs an actual dictatorship such as where the USA is headed.
