Any Things 3 user out there?
I've made a little CLI to control your tasks.

I've set up a similar Shortcut that saves a file at
Dropbox/MacBook/open-url-xxxx.txt
Inside the file, there is a URL. And the script opens the url in the browser.
It means from my iPhone I can send a command to my MacBook to open a URL whenever the MacBook is open and syncs with Dropbox.
4. When a new file is added, it runs another script to process the file.
I love this workflow because
a. it's not exposing a URL to my mac mini on the internet
b. my mac doesn't have to be online all the time
Regarding (b), of course, Mac Mini is online all the time, but what about my MacBook?
@viticci.macstories.net Hey Federico, not sure if this post will reach you, but let me share something similar to your Mac Mini usage.
1. I have a Shortcut that records audio and saves the file in my Dropbox.
2. Then Dropbox on my Mac Mini syncs.
3. I've set up a script to monitor the folder.
Sorry to hear that. Insensitive people not being able to swap positions make aggressive (non)jokes unconsciously, and that hurts. If you push back on it, then they easily get offended and mad and say stuff like "why so serious? I was just making a joke."

01.03.2025 08:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Random thought: We use online signature services like docusign. What if we make it more approachable among individuals? For example, I want to lend $100 to a friend of mine. I open an app and write a simple prompt, and it generates a contract. I send it to them, and the friend gets help by AI like
01.03.2025 08:21 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0To give you my perspective, I used to use Typefully when writing threads. But nowadays I've built a habit to open Typefully even if I want to write a very short post because of crossposting for Twitter and bsky.
16.12.2024 21:21 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@frankdilo.com since when do we have 15 posts / mo limit on free plan? π₯² I'm probably baised since I'm on free plan at the moment, but I feel like this limitation will prevent people from building a natural habit to post on Typefully.

10.12.2024 19:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Not looking for anything specific, but just curious to know what is the current "winner". But compared to React Context, some libraries let you rerender only a few components according to a part of the state changes, instead of rerendering the whole tree of children components
10.12.2024 19:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What is a go-to state management library in React these days? I've heard of recoil, zustand, jotai, etc.
What do you think is a generally good default one?
Lately I've been enjoying "Search Menu Items" feature of @raycast.com. It's literally adding a command palette to any app on Mac!
I've assigned Hyper + M shortcut to it.
Every post you make on Typefully becomes a markdown file on your gh repo.

28.11.2024 10:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What brings me joy on social media is mostly comments, not likes or reposts. On Twitter, you can disable comments on your post. Reverse this idea. What if you could disable likes or reposts, and only allow comments for certain posts? It could be fun :)

22.11.2024 07:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think the functionality to have an alt post timestamp is pretty cool especially when you import a bunch of old posts from elsewhere.
However, I think it'd be nice to show a real timestamp as a tooltip in case they're different. What do you think?
I wish there's a big list of all the starters. I'm not looking for anything specific. Just feeling like exploring :)

Yes, this post was written and published from Typefully!
Yes, we support videos too.
Yes, you can do it too!
As a matter of fact, with Typefully, you can now master 5 different platforms: X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon.
Let's go! π₯
but they seem to be happy enough to have a Twitter alternative, although we see so many potential (but different) problems here as well.
21.11.2024 20:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Enjoyed listening to the episode! My thought on bsky: I understand bsky being decentralized but not really in practice compared to Mastodon. (I've heard that a bsky employee is running their own server)
But honestly, I don't think people care much about decentralization,
OH MY GOD! Typefully finally supports Bluesky!
(I'm posting this from Typefully π)
Yeah it's weird to see MS not supporting their product well enough compared to others π
