I haven't seen Kotetsushin in a very logn time but the double Jeegs sequence is still so fucking good

Fuck yeah, the original and and the reboot side by side, both presented as cool as fuck

The only thing that's helping me is that his Kenji voice is like a much much scrappier version of his Van voice

Discovering that Kenji from Kotetsushin Jeeg was voiced by Daisuke Ono and I'm losing it I didn't know that at ALL lmaoooo

Yo! Forgot to post it here as well, but as mentioned on the other website, I'm opening comms for August! My multi chara slots for the month are taken, but I still have 4 single chara slots up for grabs for anyone who wants them.

Yeeeeeeah, Arc felt fairly isolated in the manga, whereas the anime adaptation feels like a huge send up to Getter as a whole. The flashbacks to other parts, bringing in the OVA voices to play their manga counterparts, the musical callbacks, more characters etc, it's a huge tribute to Getter

Finally getting a fully animated Emperor sequence with Ishikawa voicing the callout gave me chills ngl

Stylistically the CG looked fine, it only suffered in the sense that it had the same jank as the entire rest of the show did

but if you can look past jank (which mecha fans should be able to lmao), there's a great show here

While it is true that the very end itself is only continued by a short amount, the rest of the show fleshes out what was a fairly slim amount of story in a HUGE way

The funny thing about Getter Arc is that it frequently exposes what people actually watch stuff versus which just look at shit online because I've seen "Arc only added a couple minutes at the end" repeated multiple times AND THAT'S NOT TRUE AT ALL LMAOO

Getter Robo Arc, Dynazenon, Zenkaiger, Earth Granner, and the final Evangelion rebuild. 2021 was just the year of mecha.

Getter Arc was a work of love and it slightly irritates me that a lot of people dismiss it entirely just because it was kind of jank at times lmao
