Thursday morning stroll during an empty August in the lower 9th. I absolutely love the architectural details in Paris; columns, arches, doors, balconies, roofs, clocks, windows, stones, railings. This is a magical place to live.

If you haven’t had the chance to take a river tour in Chicago, I highly recommend the architecture tour. I really enjoyed snapping shots like this one of the St. Regis. It’s such a cool building.

This is a great example of a late Art Deco style commecial buildng on the corner of Ingram Street and Candleriggs in central Glasgow. It was designed by F.A MacDonald and Partners, but not completed until 1948.

Hidden in a forested valley carved by glaciers in prehistoric times, the village of Borgund 🇳🇴 retains its epic stave church built circa 1200 C.E. Wooden carvings of stylized dragon heads adorn the gables on the roof, and the wood is darkened by a protective tar.

A tall, rounded turret with a patterned brown roof rises from the corner of an old brick building at the intersection of Čaka and Ģertrūdes streets in Rīga, Latvia. At the very top of the turret, a seagull is perched on a golden finial. Overhead, the sky is cloudy, and some electrical wires cross in front of the building.

The Zaķusala TV tower stands in the background, framed between two residential buildings in Rīga. Numerous internet and cable TV wires stretch across the sky above rooftops, trees, and a few colorful building facades in the foreground, with the tall, red-and-white spire of the tower clearly visible against a bright, lightly clouded sky.
