Hello. I know it has been a while. It is gonna be another long while as well, if I have the self control to do it. I have been experiencing an unprecedented deterioration of my mental health, resulting in very self-harmful behaviors as well as a decrease in emotional regulation and ability to cope.

As mentioned before inauguration day is prolly the next video I should work on.

Me when I'm gone for twenty days. Yeah so hi I'm back. Just sit go down in my life as it always seems to. Anyways I have not been doing nothing during this time, though it's very slow progressing. I'm gonna work on planning AceMP lore and making new videos soon, and I've done some of that already.

I played SimEarth on an SNES emulator as a child and got hyperfixated, & that game to my recollection 15 years later is that a lot of the game was rooted in this Gaia Hypothesis, itself the work of environmental scientist James Lovelock.

But yes it's always nice to see a humanizing take on Floran.

I also ascribe to this (though more conceptually or metaphorically than literally) idea of the Earth's interconnected webs of self-regulating planetary systems from the geosphere to the biosphere are akin to a giant complex organism.

In terms of story

As for the set design I thought it was actually pretty good. The props were done with care and the film did the most with it's photorealistic style they locked into.

The main thing was the canny/uncanny appearance of the CGI in the film. On that front it was hit or miss. The objective quality of the work, however uncanny parts were, was on par with the budget the movie had.

Anyways I could go on but like, TLDR the film is inoffensive mindless fun and I had a decent time watching it for what it was.

The animation was not as bad upon seeing all of it and really thinking about it as I first thought. It was hit and miss sure, but for some reason it didn't hit the same easy maybe it would have back when the terrible Sonic design for the live action adaptation was panned so hard they remade him.

The other characters were alright as well, with nothing to write home about. They were typical generic movie protagonists and they were completely unremarkable. This is not even really the actors fault because the script was mid.

Jack Black was Steve Minecraft, and he clearly had fun playing the role, and given the fact that Steve is a blank slate protagonist means that yeah sure why can't he have the same personality and character as his actor. That's how it would be for anyone being Steve in the game, right?

I just finished watching A Minecraft Movie. It was an alright film. I went in with shitposty expectations and I got a film that was fun at times, but ultimately a reflection of a production that went through a decade of development hell.

Slowly been trying to get back to actually playing there instead of just administrating the #minecraft #SMP, mostly because doing all #server work without fun burns you out after a while.

A game over screen from a run of the rougelike deck building game about poker called Balatro. It shows a new high score achieved for best hand of 60,070,578,649 and a new ante personal best of 12.

So as I continue deeper into my Balatro addic- I mean journey, I have begun discovering even more broken ways to score. My best is now 60 billion, a massive jump in record hand score from like a day or two ago.

I’m grateful the Shapiro family is safe. It’s despicable for this to happen as the Jewish community is celebrating Passover. Political violence has no place in our country.

If only I had found a Sock and Buskin, because this combo could have been even crazier, like at least 9 digit round score crazier.

So I ended up getting a score of 46.8M during one of the Balatro challenges right before the Cerulean Bell blind in Ante 8. I hadn't even realized the combo I had made so I hadn't recorded it but i do have this screenshot of it. Turns out that retriggers + Ancient Joker is quite the synergy.

Welp, I got to finally play Balatro today. Won my first game (though that is the TUTORIAL seed so it was prolly picked for it's ease) then go on to lose literally every other game. Mostly fiddled with Magic deck once it unlocked so maybe that is why. First impression is fun game. Love it. Go get it.

Well that was a lie. Depression is a bitch, isn't it?
