Ultimately all this is just minutia. People who genuinely like the show will overlook the issues and keep watching. People look for an excuse to not watch will engage in this kind of nit picking.
I’ve so may nits to pick with so many Star Trek shows, but ultimately I love the bedrock of the series.

The Hunted, The High Ground, the Defector, The Minds Eye. Even Sins of the Father gets there
IMHO the worst episode of any Star Trek show happen in Deep Space 9. Also DS9 is the best series or Trek again in my humble opinion. One bad episode does not “the worst show make…” perspective folks! LLAP 🖖
